How to use this catalog

The main page provides many options for accessing the mosquito systematic data.

You may pick a genus or genera, subgenus or subgenera and/or country, countries or continent from the lists in the "Genera and Subgenera" and/or "Geographic Locations" windows on the main page. Click on the "submit " button to send your query.

"Map Search" will present you with a clickable world map that leads to clickable continent maps each accompanied by a corresponding text link list. Clicking on a country will return a list of links for the mosquito species for that country. Please note the list is sorted alphabetically by species name. Clicking the "sort" button next to the column labels "Genus" and "Subgenus" will sort the species accordingly.

The "Advanced Search" allows you to search by species name (or part thereof using the "like" option in the dropdown menu). You may also search by country or type locality.

The "Interactive Taxonomic Table" is a list of genera and subgenera in alphabetical order. Clicking any of these links will generate an .HTML page from the database. This page can be saved by your browser for future reference.
